PHYSICAL:
o I wake up after 7-9 hours of sleep still tired
o I have headaches quite often
o My digestion is not working well
o I overeat or eat for comfort or the reward of pleasure
o I have diarrhea or constipation
o I reach for junk food instead of eating a healthy diet
o My muscles are tight in my neck, shoulders or jaw
o I rarely exercise
EMOTIONAL:
o I spend a considerable amount of time focusing on my outward appearance
o One of these substances (food, drug type substances, caffeine, alcohol) or processes (television, computer, people, porn) help me cope or feel better when I am stressed or lonely
o Negative thinking has almost become a habit for me
o Negative self-talk (thinking or speaking negative words about myself) has become a frequent practice for me
o I use cutting sarcasm as humor
o I spend more time on the internet, watching TV or playing video games than relating to God or other people
o I’ve been procrastinating quite a bit lately
o I’m feeling down, discouraged or depressed these days
o My life feels chaotic
o My nerves are on edge and I’m feeling irritable…again
o I take little time to self-reflect or journal
o I don’t have anyone I can be transparent with and accountable to
o I lack a peaceful heart and spirit
o It is difficult for me to talk about my feelings with others
SPIRITUAL:
o I spend more time meeting my own needs (me and my family) than the needs of others (sharing my resources with others and other causes)
o I am involved in some type of service in the community or in my church because I feel like I should, instead of because I desire to
o I haven’t been spending any time in silence (listening, praying) or inspirational reading (classics, the Bible or spiritual readings)
o I avoid or try to rationalize the principles in the Bible
